My nightly skincare routine

It’s no secret that I wear a lot of make up everyday. I love putting on my face in the morning so it’s only right that I take the time to get it off at night. Even though this isn’t my favourite thing to do it has to be done.

My skin really isn’t perfect. I still have skin like most teenagers and can get the occasional breakouts. My skin does get better when I eat the right food and drink lots of water However if i didn’t take this time every evening to do my skincare routine my skin would be worsened.

Step 1-  remove of the eyes.

Eye make has to be the first to go!!! It’s the ‘messy part’!! I do this my using Nivea  eye makeup remover on a cotton wool. This really works and even takes off all of my mascara and eyeliner. And when I have my eyelashes done it’s kind to them.IMG_2368

Step 2- removal of the first layer.

So I take off the rest of my makeup by the Clinique cleaning brush. I’ve had mine for over a year and I highly recommend getting one. Mine was £60 and came with soaps and cleansers. Now I just use a  facial soap that is cheaper as I’ll rather spend more on my facemarks. The only I’m using right now is from Sainsbury’s and it gets the job done.

Step 3- facemark

I love the body shop. Using all natural ingredients really work well on my skin. At the moment I’m alternating between the two facemark. One to moisturise the other to cleanse.  The Himalayan charcoal facemark is great at getting rid of any blemish or break outs you may have. It really drys out your spots. I leave this one on for 30 minutes. So the days I use this I start my skin care routine earlier. The British rose face mark I only leave on for 15 minutes. It’s super hydrating without blocking my pores.

I couldn’t do a skincare blog without mentioning the tea tree facemark from body shop. It really is great and make my skin so clear. I haven’t used it for some time but it is a mark I have always used. I always go back to this mask as it’s always works no matter how many times I use it.

I remove my facemark with hot water and a flannel.

Step 4-  Lotion.

Dior is great for skin care products. Last year I got the toning lotion for my birthday and I’ve genuinely purchase it myself since. I also got the  cleansing milk as I was told they work well as a duo. I do still like the toning lotion it’s moistrising. However I’m not too fussed on the cleansing milk and probably could find something better to spend my money on. I use both of these by putting them on cotton wool. IMG_2387

Step 5-  Lip

I go to lip with Vaseline or Nivea cream on my lips. As I get dry lips. IMG_2394.JPG

So that’s my skincare routine.
